Simona Kukovič is researcher at the Centre for the Analysis of Administrative-Political Processes and Institutions. She is Assistant Professor, teaching the courses "Local Self-Government", "Leadership Theory", "Introduction to Public Administration", "Political System of Slovenia" and "Contemporary Approaches to Management". She is COST actions "ProSEPS" and "ConstDeb" member. She was visiting researcher at DeMontfort University, Local Governance Research Unit in 2015 and Alexander Dubček University Trenčin, Slovakia, in 2016 and 2017. She is also Teacher Tutor at CoDe Master programme in Comparative Local Development.
She is visiting professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (spring semester 2018). She is editor of Journal of Comparative Politics. Her research focus encompasses political leadership, e-democracy and e-participation, regional and local self-government, administrative and political processes and institutions.
