Simona Kukovič is researcher at the Centre for the Analysis of Administrative-Political Processes and Institutions. She is Associate Professor, and she was co-teaching the courses "Local Self-Government", "Leadership Theory", "Introduction to Public Administration", "Political System of Slovenia" and "Contemporary Approaches to Management" from 2011 to 2018. She is co-instructor of the course "Comparative Local Governments" at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at joint master degree programme Political Science - Integration and Governance (PoSIG). She is COST actions "ProSEPS" and "ConstDeb" member. She was visiting researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2018), DeMontfort University, Local Governance Research Unit (2015) and Alexander Dubček University Trenčin, Slovakia (2016, 2017). She is editor of Journal of Comparative Politics that is abstracted in Scopus (IF) and WoS. Her research focus encompasses political leadership, e-democracy and e-participation, regional and local self-government, administrative and political processes and institutions.
